As our meeting started today, Ted Hooley, CEO of Senitizo (www.senitizo.org) gave us an update on the global grant for the Central African Republic. This grant brought much needed medical help and supplies to the people living there, especially the pygmy population.  Please "read more" for details...
Senitizo is a humanitarian, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide life-saving health services to people without access to healthcare in the Central African Republic.  Senitizo means "Health of the People".  The grant total budget was $59,820.  Our club contributed $2,000 and District 5960 put in $20,900 of District Designated Funds  and the Rotary International  World Fund added $16,720.  All of those dollars are from contributions to the Rotary Foundation.
