Rotary Youth Exchange

The Rotary Youth Exchange program is a year-long opportunity for US high school students to travel abroad and for students from other countries to come to the US!  The exchanges help students experience new peoples, cultures, adventures and personal growth.  Rotary Youth Exchange provides more than 8,000 teenagers each year an adventure of a lifetime: a chance to live, learn and become a true part of a new family, culture and way of life as a high school foreign exchange student.

Locally three local Stillwater Rotary clubs collaborate on the exchange program: Lake Elmo, Stillwater Noon and Stillwater Sunrise. Each year these clubs’ sponsors both inbound students from other countries and outbound Stillwater students.

Youth Exchange News
Applications are now being accepted for hosting a Rotary exchange student in Stillwater for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Our club, along with Stillwater Noon Rotary and Lake Elmo Rotary will sponsor two inbound Rotary Youth Exchange students in the 2022-2023 school year.  A young woman from Spain and a young man from Japan!  Both students will be studying at Stillwater High School.

We are looking for HOST families for these 2 students.  Each student spends 3 months with a family and each student will need a total of 3 families for the year. It is truly a life changing experience for the exchange student and the host family.

The Stillwater Sunrise Rotary club has a dynamic and healthy Youth Exchange program.  We are proud of our students and in the way that this community has supported them. We are firm believers that we are changing lives and creating world peace through this wonderful program. We look forward to sending more 15-19 year olds in the future and to qualify, applicants should be above-average students who have demonstrated leadership in their community. Please read more on this exciting opportunity.
Hey Wendy!

School is going well. I’m in an art school where I do photography, videography, and normal subjects. My classmates are very nice and I also have some Rotary exchange student friends that go to my school.
